Octy vRS Replacement ?

Featured Replies

So, here's the deal, at the end of May this year I will have paid off half the finance on my Octy vRS. The outstanding finance will be around

Fab vrs without a doubt. love my octavia vrs but only reason have not got my own fab vrs is boot space.

otherwise it's a blast and will have you grinning every time you drive it and you will fulfill all your criteria :D

But i'm sure you knew that

Appologies for this post, but there is one obvious choice,

A Ford Focus. The old shape ones are now cheap as chips. Every motoring magazine you read commends the handling and chassis. (some even say it's better than the new one) You've got loads of choices of engine and trim level and the insurance and servicing is cheapish.

I've driven a 3 door TDI sport with 17 inch rims, leather and loads of kit inside and it really shifted. A mate has got a 1.6 petrol with loads of kit and he reckons its great.

If you fancy something quick, go for a ST170. 2002 ones are going for about 9 to 10K

For Example

:D

They also do/did an ST170 estate, put the rear seats down and you'll get 2 bikes+kit in there. My brother, had a Focus estate and that took my Specialized Bighit DH and his hard tail easily. We even had 3 people and three bikes at a squeeze :)

Must admit my last car was a Focus and the handling was good, they do sem really cheap ATM. Even though it was only a 1.6 16v I once managed to drive from Kirkconnel to Linlithgow in just 59 minutes. In the Octy vRS I never got under an hour. Although the Focus was a company car ..... ;)

Nothing corners like a company car :D
