Driver Side Speaker

Featured Replies

Been noticing recently when going around a corner at any great speed that the driver side front speaker goes off or sometimes goes all fuzzy sounding, Just wondering if anyone has any ideas why this could be and how it can be sorted?

Many Thanks

Oh my... I have the same car, same issue. Well, I had a similar issue, let me explain.

First it started like that - I'd go round a corner and right speaker would go. Later on whenever I turned the wheel it would go off.

I found that if you turn up the volume or turn on bass boost if you have it temporarily brings it back.

imho, I think it's the battery not being powerful enough or something because when I drove in the rain with the wipers on and my headlights on the problem was alot more frequent to the point it was better off just sitting in silence.

anyways, I ignored the problem but as i need to get rid of the car soon I have to fix the problem. I'll let you know how i get on!

Thanks for the reply, Have you fitted your own headunit into the car? or still have the standard one in the car?

yup, I got a JVC KD S621 CD player installed. The rest, like the speakers, is stock. It came with the car instead of the usual cassette player.

I was thinking that maybe the stock speakers cant handle the power the headunit is sending out and might need to replace the stock speakers but thats going to be an expensive job :(

Its not a massive problem, might take it to skoda as its still in 6month warranty see what they say, it seems a common problem with the Fabia :(

The Fabia does seem to have alot of these 'common problems'.... just saying >.>

Someone suggested to me that the wiring is dodgy so may need to check it out.

Dunno if this helps you mate but from my PAS problem post:

His suspicion landed on the rather knackered looking alternator that could be responsible for my speaker problem too as it's not providing enough juice when everything is on.
