new vrs owner - race blue - cleaned it and took a few pics

Featured Replies

picked up this beastie just before chrimbo. Its an 06 plate, petrol model. Has done a few miles 70K but has fsh and the cambelt was done recently. Has the twin climate, jumbo box, rear electric windows and 18" alloys. Few teething troubles adjusting to the seats, other than that couldnt be more pleased. Absolute bargain bang per buck motor I cant believe how good value it was! Whats the consensus on Super Unleaded does it pay for itself with the mpg improvement ?

Best looking car on the road!, good choice of colour as well! :D

Very good, looks nice and a decent spec. Might be time for a username change though ;)

the engines give out 200ps as standard on 98 ron fuel. So uif you chuck anything less in, your then using fuel that the cars not been mapped to run on, and it'll make less power.

yoou will get a couple more mpg out of it with vpower though, so it will cancel out cost to a certain degree

Looks in really good nick from the pics!

As you say, the petrol model is a performance bargain!

Enjoy your car!

Nice motor, same as mine year/colour although mine has the red calipers and as you say a performance bargain I paid £6300 for mine 5 months ago for a 1 owner fssh example. Can't think of any other 4year old car that offers so much for so little.

I paid a few hundred quid more than that but its in cracking condition so I still consider it cheap, my last car I got brand new in 2008 cost 26 grand, this runs it really close, whilst not quite as relaxing on the motorway I actually enjoy driving the vrs more, you cant go wrong!

Nice car

On the fuel point there are posts on here which point to research showing that V power (or other super) is no better for fuel consumption than 95 Ron and in fact may be worse (i certainly havn't noticed any real difference). The power may be more although im sure when i had my petrol vrs on the rollers it was on 95 Ron and got 200bhp. V power is also £1.29 a ltr at the moment  , thats a lot for a full tank. The label on inside also states no probs for 95 Ron

however, the most important point is super is a cleaner fuel for the engine....that my excuse for using it and im sticking to it unless it gets really sillt £per litre.

Enjoy the car.
