MPG issues

Featured Replies

Hi

Ive got a 54 reg Vrs and its doing terrible mpg at the minute. I have a faulty abs/ speed senson on the front left (getting fixed this week).

It's doing about 24mpg. im not driving hard. and no mods engine wise. no fault lights other than abs and asr.

I can usually get 200miles to half a tank easy. at the minute its done 100 and nearly used half a tank. :'(

Anyone have any ideas what it could be? the car doesn't feel any different.

Cheers Marty

you must have a diesel leak somewhere... or some mega busted injectors or something......

Changed the air filter lately ?

Changed the air filter lately ?

DB.

Serviced every 10,000 mile using geniune parts and filter changed every time.

No fuel leak. computer says its doing that.

injector issue's as the mpg is calculated off injector pulses and is very accurate?

try changing the air filter and fuel filter and filling up with vpower diesel with some millers diesel sport additive in it

I'm having the same problem with my vrs too :/, how did you solve yours ?

Serviced every 10,000 mile using geniune parts and filter changed every time.

Have you checked it though? Disregard if you service it yourself..

Service schedule states air filter every 40k

Because the abs/speed sensor was faulty, it reads incorrectly. So says its only doing half the mpg and milage. As the run to my gf's is 35 miles I know for a fact. The car with abs fault read 17 miles.

The fault was the pick up on the wheel bearing, so had to change the bearing :(

Rear bearing?

If so pretty easy change

Parts quite pricey though £100?
