vRS 1/4 Mile Times

Featured Replies

Anyone run their vRS down the 1/4 mile? What time did you get and what power/spec are you running? Oh and what speed did you pass at?

14.8 176bhp 346 ft lbs can't remember the end speed

T.Spark (ibiza FR) not a vrs but practically same car, 1.9tdi running about 230bhp and stripped out totally.. IIRC his best time is about 13.7...i think.

14.4s 97mph terminal

when it was a puny 195bhp

BUT that time is a good time... you will have to have skills to get much better even with a hybrid :giggle:

I know of one young lady that did, many times, its pretty much a standard vRS.

here is a sample ticket

60ft – 2.1688

330ft – 6.4619

594ft 9.4172

1/8th 10.0867 at 67.20

1000ft – 13.2482 at 77.33

¼ Mile – 15.9095 at 84.73

60ft – 2.2613

330ft – 6.2785

1/8th 9.5749 at 74.17

1000ft – 12.4122 at 86.36

¼ Mile – 14.8121 at 92.92

That was standard turbo, remap and a sniff of nitrous and a leak from the inter cooler (which i found after completing slower and slower runs)

Kev

Just to add my time was including reaction time.....

i know some other 1/4 mile days start timing as soon as your car moves off the line which doesn't add the reaction time.....

Not a vRS, but managed a 16.8secs @ 78mph at Shakespeare in Oct 09

I can run a quarter of a mile in about a minute and a half.
