Mine arrived today, look like the dogs danglies, just need some better weather now to get them fitted.

Well done Cliff, thanks for your time and patience with sorting out this group buy

mine have just arrived - they look great, thanks cliff

just 2 queries.

do they need additional adhesive applying or are they sticky enough to hold without ?

can the wheel badges be stuck over existing ones or should i remove them first ?

Bonnet and boot i'd say the self adhesive of the badges should be enough to hold them firm as the forces they endure shoudln;t be too large. However a bit of extra superglue might make sure they stay put.

With the alloy centre's i'd soak the centres in hot water then pry the metal OEM badges off, clean, dry and then stick mine in their place.

Yegnold did a good guide hereafter the first GB

Due to the extra forces applied to the wheel centres i'd definitely add something a bit extra to avoid them flying off at high speed.

That said i just stuck a left over set on mine and they lasted months until i sold them

Thanks for the excellent badges.

Back one fitted and prompted me to also de-wiper.

Anyhoo here's a few pics:

love the look of your back end

how easy is it to get the octavia badge off and clean up afterwards

Cheers for the comments.

The old badge is a foil based badge stuck over a black plastic dome shaped mount.

The foil came off first and then the black dome.

if you're really careful with a screwdriver its easy.

i protected the paint with some tape of some sort, then i levered off the foil leaning the screwdriver against a old credit card and microfibre cloth.

it came off leaving no mess behind. but if it does then just some nail varnish remover, wd40 or AutoSmart Tardis Tar remover will do.

sorry for the confusion

i actually meant the octavia lettering

same method ??

That's even easier, use some dental floss and some sawing motion later, off they pop. Then as above, wd40 or nail varnish remover.

badges came today cliff and they look brilliant  will try and get some pics up, as has already been said on here thankyou for sorting the GB out and doing these!! much appreciated pal

Jealous! I missed this GB at the payment stage, damn busy life (well women in fact but thats a long story ;)). Hopefully PastyBoy will reply to my PM so i can order some out of the GB (hint hint!)

Cheers mate, look good. Will get some pics up when sorted ;)

I'm glad that you're all happy with the end results.

While it can prove a logistical nightmanre trying to organise everyone and tracking who wants what and who's paid and not and where i'm sending everything I do get a buzz out of seeing the end results.

Profle they look top banana - work really well with your car and possibly look better than the showy chrome and green of the OEM badge (but then i am biased :))

Simon = I've replied to your PM

Looking good owen

If it was me i'd stick the steering wheel one over the top of the old one. Last thing i'd want i to be digging around near the airbag!

thanks pasty

yer thats what i was thinking will have a look at in abit

owen

That's a point. Old badge removal. One for the front isn't an issue as it'll be going on a coded grille eventually.

But for the existing rear badge. Any 'best practice' for removing that? Last thing I want is to damage the surrounding paint...

Cheers.

Just waiting to have some dry weather and time to do the front grille surround and new badge.

After working away this week got home today, too find my new badges, well chuffed with the quality, just need to spray my grill surround and get them fitted,(some decent weather would be nice also).

Thanks Cliff (Pastyboy)emoticon-0148-yes.gif
