fabia auto no engine comms

Featured Replies

hi, this is my first post so please be nice. i have tried a search but couldnt find much.

basically the trouble i am having is with my dads fabia 1.4 auto. vagcom will find and connect to all other modules but not the engine ecu. have also tried with snap on solus but no joy. vag com works great on my golf and all other vags so i know its not vagcom.

anyone know what is causing this issue as its difficult to diagnose problems without comms.

cheers, jamie.

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

will try, but im sure the battery has been disconnected since the last time i scanned.

thank you!

Does the engine need to be running?

I had that in my felicia where I couldn't seem to connect to the ECU unless the engine was actually running! Worth a try if nothing else I guess.
