Wheel Arches Fitted!

Thanks, 16" wheels, but I realise the second photo actually make it looks quite a bit smaller, but in the flesh, it looks normal.

I think they are not compatible park assist where you have sensons on the front wheel arches, they are not compatible with front mudflaps either as they protrudes that area.

I think they look good too - nice design, not too 'flare-y' and have a finished sort of look. The conflict with flaps is one bugbear puts me off them - iI have the standard flaps and am not really inclined to do a lot of fiddling, as i know some are. There you go - nice job!

£90 for two hour labour - cheap as chip!

Could you tell me what the benefit is in having the DPF removed and will it effect my warranty.

Thank You.

The plastic protects the whole wheel arch area, it wraps the bottom of the panel as well. Seems to be good quality. It does look like quite a fiddly job to do though as glue "crumbs" are on the panels.

Looks good  My SM is due at stealer in a couple of weeks and I intend to have them fitted before I pick it up but if only 4 in stock then I'd better order sharpish! My SM is Pearl Black so will not provide the same sort of contrast as yours but should good all the same plus add the arch protection.

Can you explain the glue crumbs comment please?

Thanks, the glue crumbs are residues that were left on the panel of my car, they could be removed fairly easily. Howeve, there were a few scratches, presumably from the mechanic removing the glue, but its going back next Friday to have the bodyshop people remove the scratches.

..and that's not so good, hopefully it'll be 100% when done. Visually I can see what you mean by the wheels looking a little smaller in the 'new' arches but I'd much rather have your 16"ers over my Spitzbergs any day!

Good pics; thanks. Very useful to see Yeti before and after having the wheel arch protectors fitted.

Overall though I'm sorry but I stand by my earlier comments of:-

"OK; it will provide protection but from a visual point of view, the Yeti has a large enough wheel arch void between the body and wheels that you do not need a black plastic strip around the wheel arch to make it look bigger (dependant on body colour naturally)."

I see your point, the main reason why I fitted them is because of the unsightly ding on both sides of the front wheel arches, and I can actually imagine getting a few more in the years to come.

Since I park regularly in a multistory car park and Sainsburys, I thought I might add some extra "protection" on the wheel arches, the same way side protections work. Hopefully that would protect the Yeti from any further abuse by other people's doors or WHY.

I really like that!
