Seen this mentioned on a few threads now, what is it ? :S

due to emission regs the original gasket size was increased which caused the 1500-2000rpm stutter....the fix is the get original smaller holed gasket or even better disconnect the rubber hose that ativates the egr valve and plug it.

as above the easiest way is to disconnect the pipe & in my case plug with a golf tea! its been covered lots on here so im sure someone will have a link for you

I replaced the standard 25mm gasket on my BLT vRS with a 9mm gasket which I obtained from TPS. It worked, it is noticably less laggy below 2000RPM.

It cost £2.09 and the part number is 028131547B

On a side note I had this done a year and a half or so ago, and every now and then it brings up the engine warning light. I think mine was fitted with the slightly too small hole gasket as debated in that big, main EGR stutter thread. I've had the code read and confirmed its EGR reading, and it mostly only comes on during longer motorway trips and is sporadic every few thousand miles or so.

Is there any possible damage / complication from ignoring the warning light? Will it confuse the ECU if not cleared? It would be annoying to fork out £20 or so to have it reset every time, and sods law it always goes out on the way to the garage

Sorry to bring up an old thread, I am in desparate need of a stutter free gasket (028131547b) for the 07 fabia vrs se, could anybody point me in the right direction please? Cheers

No idea I'm afraid, this was a long time ago but hopefully somebody else will be able to help you out.
