ISO Wiring

Featured Replies

I've been out and bought myself a new headunit today.

Got the normal problem of losing the settings when the ignition is disconnected. Been to halfrauds, and they wanted £15 for an adapter, so sod that!

I take it, it's just disconnect +ve on the battery, pull out the connectors A4 and A7 on the block, swap them round, then reconnect the battery? Or is that just wishfull thinking?

For me, i had to swap around the yellow and red wires...

Was that on the block coming from the car or the head unit?

Just use a paper clip to swap the pins inside the block that you get supplied with the new headunit.

Problem is the new HU doesn't have a block coming off it. The connectors in the dash plug straight into it.

ahh, well swap them over then would be the easiest option!

What HU did you get? Didn't that have an ISO connector loom included with it?

If it did, check the wires on it - are two of them connected by bullet connectors?

I got the one on offer in Lidl today.

There wasnt a loom with it, just the ISO connector straight into the back, the same as the Symphony, but with the pins in proper ISO configuration, not ISkodaO
