I've also managet to kerb one of the wheels so they're all looking a bit shabby.

Where's the best place to get them refurbished so that they are less likely to have the same problem in another couple of years? Like the polished look but don't want the delamination.

btw the car's now out of warrantee on mileage.

depending on where you are based you could try Spit and Polish in Tonbridge, BJV engineering in Hemel, Pristine wheels in Woburn and the wheel specialist who have various locations.

You will find that these outfits will only give a 6 month warranty on diamond cut wheels. The problem with diamond cut wheels is getting the lacquer to adhere to a shiny unkeyed surface. If i were you I would look at getting the wheels stripped and then powder coated this type of repair will last a lot longer.

I always recommend this to all my customers who have diamond cut wheels. To date I have had no comebacks.

Had the same prob on mine and had 3 replaced......sod's law though, 2 months out of warranty and the one they didn't replace is corroding...

Might be worth a call to SUK (or your dealer) pointing out that the replacements have failled after XXX miles so they must be faulty, as they should have a life in excess of the warranty mileage.

Does seem strange that the Scout wheels keep doing this - I had two replaced first, then towards the end of the warranty period all four were replaced - fingers well crossed now!

Has anyone actually fitted aftermarket alloys to a Scout ? I've seen quite reasonably priced 17s floating around on the net....

sounds like it would be a good plan to get them powder coated. I give the car a bit of a rough time so diamond cut isn't the most suitable

I had my Vrs powder coated smoked chrome, £280 at the wheel specialist .I had a Lexus with polished alloys and they were replaced under warranty. My wife's Ds3 sport has black wheels with diamond cut but I am fastidiousness about cleaning them, and have a sealant on them just in case
