NSX 0 Furby 1

Featured Replies

I had to post this.

Yesterday I had some plum in a NSX sitting on my bumper. I couldn't go any fast due to the speed camera, so the plum went to undertake me, he realised the camera was there and backed off. So pass the camera and I though yeah ok I'll show you and booted it.

The look on his face was classic as he was left for dead.

:D

did he make it to the petrol station to fill his obviously empty tank ? ;)

seconded... the look on his face must have been "look at that tool, its not even worth moving my foot"

most likely!!! :P

To be fair, assuming it's untuned, the NSX only has 280bhp or 256bhp if it's an auto (here) and weighs 130kg more. I suspect he wasn't in the VTEC either when you floored it! :D NSX will do 60 is 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 170mph but I suspect it needs to be kept on the boil........

However, it must have been quite satisfying covering a tailgater in diesel soot and fumes

Chris

 I do think these people in their super-cars don't really try most of the time. :D

i bet they do try there just to scared to put there foot down or just can't drive

more money then sense comes to mind

The NSX is a great car, I wasn't saying it was crap or that the guy was racing me. I just found it funny that's all. Nearly as much as when he nearly T-boned the vauxhall on the round-about, maybe the V-TEC was have kicked in by then :P

More likely that they're old enough and wise enough to realise it isn't worth

a) losing your license

B) killing yourself or anyone else

c) wasting bloody expensive fuel/tyres

d) using valuable calories changing down

just to prove to some (generally, in my experience) Burberry-cap wearing Nova/Saxo/Corsa driver that their car is as fast as said Nova/Saxo/Corsa driver already knows it is.

I've always thought there wasnt much point in having a fast car if your going to drive like a nun !! :D

As someone once said on ScoobyNet "asking why people in very expensive cars dont race is like asking why David Beckham doesnt play 5-a-side in my local park with a bunch of chavs"

True.though everytime I have seen something exotic it has been driven in a loud and aggressive manner(oooh the exhaust note on a ferrari  )

It's the people who buy big fat luxo barges like 750 or s class mercs that drive at 17 mph. why didnt they get a 1.0?

Auto nsx is a bit of a donkey. not really supercar though I think manual is different story.

Maybe the NSX driver saw the second camera which was just past the first one

I got passed by an NSX once. I was accelerrating down a slip road onto the M1 and was looking in my door mirror to check the traffic(for once) and I heard this hellish noise, thought I'd snapped a cam belt or something at first. I was in a group N Integrale Evo and giving it reasonablish welly, looked in my mirror and saw this red wedge right behind me. Not wanting to be a **** and cos I really like NSXs, I went up to 'bout 80, opened the window and pulled into the slow lane. This bloke absolutely caned this thing past me and I've gotta say, it sounded ****in magnificent. It sounded like someone had set fire to a bag of cats in the boot. Remapped Furbys may be fast but unfortunately, you can't copy that noise. I'm sad I know, but that memory will stay with me for a long long time  .

Cheers
