this is probably the best car i've owned (30+ cars)

although this site can cost you a fortune :giggle: it'll also save you money through the technical guides so you can tackle stuff yourself through to others posting parts and prices from different places and also check the forum sponsors out for deals on different things which constantly change.

take your time don't rush and you'll be fine, and most of all enjoy it and dont let the niggles put you off. there cracking cars

Yeah I'll agree there - I'm 21 and have done some buying and selling etc, I've owned and used around 50 cars, and the main reason to buying this was due to having an A3 150 a year or so back..

The extra 30 Brake and the Looks of it being standard made my mind up really..

Can't wait for it to be all sorted, running right, Re-insured and ready to go...

Then into Coilovers and from there on!

One thing I have noticed, Upon checking my breathers today, is that the Injectors show signs of being wet where they go into the engine,

ie Its almost like a slight seepage on the seals, on all 4 injectors - Could this simply be due to the overfuelling caused by the sensor, or likely to cause me an issue too?

While i'm on it i may aswell get it all right!

It shouldn't cause you an issue, and you'll find most cars suffer from this, but it's normally overlooked.

You can buy new injector seals (o-rings) from the dealer, to replace the old leaking ones. You'll need 8 (4 lower for the manifold & 4 upper for the rail). You can also replace the injector inserts on the manifold, as they are just plastic screw-in jobbers, and the injector clips that hold the injectors to the rail. It's all easy stuff to do.

I've been meaning to do mine for a while, as I'm paranoid about them leaking too much!

Ah right, Fair enough!

Any ideas on the cost?

If its only really pennies I'll probably do it before my MOT anyway, get her looking good everywhere :)

did u clean ur tb ?

  • Author

Not done the TB Yet,

Just fitted the new Lambda Today from Skoda at £118.50 though!

I've a chap on here sending me a new Boost pipe, when i receive that i'll clean the TB at the same time now i've a new gasket too.

I'm convinced I have a slight boost leak, but have just sourced a Cheap 007p from a Friend too, so will have that this week and see where i go then!
