Skoda through the ages

Featured Replies

When I bought a car a few years ago my local Skoda main dealer gave me a pack of Skoda Autocards. Each card (1-36) covers an individual car, ranging from Number 1 - Lauren & Klement Voiturette A 1905 to Number 36 - Roomster 1.9 TDi. I thought I'd post up a few scans.

Quite like number 35 - the big coupe.

I love the old Octavia Combi, from the 60s - I'd be driving one if I was around 45 years ago :D

And the Tudor is such a beauty, like Audi would allow that though :(

Very interesting, cheers for posting that. Some of the outputs from those old racing engines is impressive for the day, nearly 100bhp a litre output is quite good going for a N/A engine these days, let alone back then!

Definitely, and it just goes to show how much weight slows down a car!

you're right about the engines, my dad even though he wasn't a Skoda man (until I let him have a go in my L&K! full convert now looking at an Octavia Scout to replace his "Grand" Picasso with) always said Skodas had "bloody good engines back in the 60/70s"

Nice bit of memorabilia. If you can get hold of the books Skoda: Flight of the Winged Arrow you will find tons of great photos and an interesting history too, even if the English is a bit dodgy at times.
