My Octavia’s boot contacts need cleaning as sometimes my rear wiper stops working even when the boot is shut properly, if I open and re-close the tailgate the wiper works again.

Where are the contacts and is there any way of cleaning and wd40ing them?

Where the lock goes through a little plastic spring loaded door as you close the tailgate water can get in apparently, WD40 is the most obvious choice but others disagree.

Cheers I have had a look but I can't see how water gets in but I will have a better look tommorow.

Mine displayed the same symptoms before it died.
