Can't change my rear brake hoses......?

Featured Replies

Bought my HEL rear brake lines out to fit today, and took the wheel off to fit and then realised...... I can't replace the standard rear lines? They're one piece with the copper lines from the abs/brake module at the front of the car!!!

Has anyone fitted after market brake lines before?

How did you do it?!

is that not the flexi line that goes where the rear axle beam flexes?

Hope it is, or I've wasted my money!

Thanks mate.

oh i get ya now, you going to have to cut the brake pipe and put a flare nut on.. is it worth it?

Surely, it can't be a fixed copper hose from front end to the caliper? There must be a flexy hose around where beam pivots on the body?

There are six flexi pipes.

Two on the front

Two on the rear beam (these are your rear two)

Two that go to the caliper that have a solid metal pipe attatched to them (do not replace these).

I believe I've got the two that I fit on the beam.

Glad I can at least use them!

Would've checked on etka, but not at home.

Well, I know it's been a while, but I've finally got round to changing them........

Jacked car up............Cannot for love nor money get access to the drivers side rear hose.................Do I need to remove the fuel tank to install my new hose?
