Lower IC pipe clip bits broke. Best repair?

Featured Replies

My lower IC pipe popped off where it attaches to the side mount IC.

I went to get it back in but for some reason it just wont slot back in. One of the side bits that get stuck on the clip to keep it in have fallen off.

Ive done a pikey cable tie repair but can hear it hissing all the time.

Can i do anything with it?

Or can i buy just that lower part of pipe?

Thanks.

Craig.

skoda sell them i think they are about £90 but they will have to order one in,i got mine from samco an uprated one with ali ends

Thanks :) Do you know if skoda sell it separtly? Since i need it sorted by pretty much monday...

I hate to rain on your parade, but most service desks in Skoda garages are shut on Sundays.. :'(

stuff that!! take smic out and use 4 self tappers to screw it back on, it will not move at all once you do this saves £90

Ahh. Ill get out there later and see what i can do.

I drove it today but didnt go over 3k revs lol. Mainly because i can hear it hissing where for some reason the pipe wont slot far enough in...

One of the lugs is fine however. Will have a big bash later, and put a load of cable ties + duck tape!

4 self tappers am telling you! I ran mine for 40k like this!! And ran 173bhp on an rr day

i can vouch for the 4 self tappers as i did that too before the samco pipe

Just managed to get it back in there using some pliers...

And now got the clip back on it and stuck a few cable clips using the interlock method. Will see how it goes.

Screws cable ties are ****!!!!

Trust me ive tried it all
