Anyone changed an Octy Front ARB??

Featured Replies

I have the Golf R32 23mm ARB sat here waiting to be fitted to complement the Neuspeed 28mm I recently bought in the GB, Has anyone fitted one, are there any pitfalls / tips to look out for. I spoke with Awesome the other day and it seems that you can get away with just releasind the rear of the subframe which means that the alignment is still ok ( will get it checked by awesome anyway)

PS the Golf 32mm is only

Yep, done it (or rather had it done). Takes about 2 hours, and yes you do need to drop the sub-frame. Sometimes you will also need to loosen the steering rack as well. Get new lock bolts for the sub-frame if you intend undoing the originals. Get the geometry checked afterwards. Not had any problems with a 25mm one on the front of mine, may be I just don't drive it hard enough to notice?

Dave, do you know the part number?

Part Numbers are

Anti-Roll Bar ( VW call it a Stabilizer) 1JO 411 305 AF

Rubber Bushes ( need to use them as the oct ones will have too small a bore)

2 off Part number 1JO 411 314T

Whole thing came to

I fitted an R32 anti roll bar to the front if an Octavia whilst at AmD, iirc it was Stuart's tidy 4x4.

Easy enuff but as mentioned 4WA will need to be done.

As you are going to all that trouble had you considered Powerflex bushes?
