Squeeks Bangs And Rattles!

Featured Replies

Hello,

Starting to get abit sad about this, I usually post good things and happy things but at the moment things are starting to get most annoying. Baught the car in october and it felt tight as an oil drum, but recently ive started to notice stuff thats frustrating. For a start the glovebox rattles pretty much all the time. The drivers seat squeeks randomly and then stops, the doors have started to vibrate and now much clutch pedal when all the way in has started creaking. Now these may sound petty and they probs are, My cars not brand new fresh out of the factory but has anyone come across these things with some top tips on how to stop them.

I adore my car, but these things are taking the enjoyment out of owning it and driving it.

Anyhelp would be awesome

Get the clutch pedal assembly looked at ASAP. The spot welds can fail on the pedal mount, and the pedal assembly breaks.

Glovebox rattle is common, and is unfortunately usually the opening handle which is non adjustable. You can try better rubber bump stops (Maplin) to see if making the glovebox door a tighter fit against the dash will stop the rattle.

Never heard of vibrating doors I'm afraid.

My clutch squeaked. The dealer adjusted it and that sorted it. Glove box

also rattles as do the doors. Don't think there's a fix for it. I think it's one common prorblems with the Mk 1 Fabias.

Rattles, oh the joy.

Passenger side speaker rattles.

Glove Box rattles.

Driver side dash rattles around headlight controls.

Rear suspension knocks.

I might give the bump stops on the glove box a go though, thanks Moggy.
