Does anyone know if a Columbus satnav will work in a 2007 Roomster witht he Maxi dot?

Don't know, maybe you would have problems with the Can module as reported many times in the Octavia section. Definately works in the MY 2011 though.

Columbus doesn't fit perfectly in the F² or Roomster. CAN problems you can solve withe a canbus-interface from your skoda dealer. It's about 90€. But the major problem is the GALA-signal. This is the only thing that doesn't funktion but without the GALA-signal the navigation is offroad all the time..

Maybe you try the Skoda Nexus from the Octavia. Fits perfectly with the CANbus-interface. Also the navigation works:
