Felicia's colour code?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm looking to find out what my car's colour actually is. In documents it says 'burgundy red' and i have colour code from the boot's floor however i'm not sure how to read it. This is W988 or D45 GO3 GO4 G11 H10 J04 of which i believe D45 is external paint number but this doesn't match any codes i found on this forum or internet neither paintwork garage wasn't sure which colour will ideally match it. Normally this paint codes supposed to have 4 digits / letters I've been told?

this is 1998 Felicia.

thanks in advance,

blazej

Hmmm, 'Burgundy' doesn't seem to exist in Skoda documents - the reds I have reference to on UK cars are:

Rally Red (H9H9)

Romantic Red (8290/G1G1)

Raspberry Red (7G7G)

Purple metallic (9880) - referred to elsewhere as hot chilli red

Hot Chilli Red Pearl Effect (8H8H)

The numeric codes were used on pre-facelift models, whereas the alphanumeric ones are post-facelift (it seems some colours may have changed slightly but kept the same name). If you're lucky there might be a sticker on the slam panel with the colour code prominently displayed in the corner (my '99 car has one), here:

Hi there,

i'm looking to get a rattle can of paint for my 2000 Felicia estate to touch up lots of little scratches and marks from the last owner but there isnt a sticker with the paint code on the boot floor or on the slam panel unfortunately.

there is a local automotive paint place who can mix up any colour if you give them the manufacturers paint code but otherwise its a case of going down there and using sample charts to find the closest one which isnt ideal.

is there any other way to check the code? was it written down anywhere else other than these two stickers?

thanks

DKM

ok, just spoken to Skoda Uk customer services who have been very helpful and said the paint code is 1B1B (diamond silver metallic) - just want to make sure this is correct before ordering a rattle can.

is there anywhere on the forum with a full list of skoda paint codes and names?

DKM

There's a few here.

Excellent, thanks FordFan - thats confirmed it. i didnt want to spend a tenner on a rattle can and end up with the wrong colour!

another place to look for a paint code is to remove front bumper and there is a plate that says the colour code or look on service book too

8180 is rally red
