Featured Replies

hi just what i mean in the title i love the look ov the new model ,i have a 2006 skoda octavia vrs , and i was wondering could you just buy 2 wings, bonnet, front bumper, and new headlights to change the look to the new one or not ?

Add some odd unseen peripherals, wing mirrors, tail lights and a grill, then yes!

You'll need to buy more than that. Evn the hood is not the same. And obvoiusly to fit the lights the sides are different as well.

Your most economic and hassle free choice would be to trade it in for the new guy... Or else I fear you are in for a possible nightmare.

That's my honest opinion anyway.

Best of luck which ever way you choose.

The "hood" (bonnet) and the "sides" (wings) have already been listed...

Why? Buy 2010 model

You can make it look the same for very little outlay. Sadly it means reversing it everywhere...

If anyone can get this to work, then I would like to know how I can turn my Octy into an RS 5.

Ideally this should be at the lowest possible cost and preferably covered by a full Audi warranty.

Personally I can't understand why you'd want to - the pre-facelift model looks far better IMHO B)

Not really. The preFL model looks like crying, while FL looks angry...

To me the Pre FL looks as though it is sulking while the FL model looks as though it is smiling at it emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Hood's the same on pre-FL and FL.....

I had mine damaged on the FL ... Had it replaced with one from an older model...workshop said they are the same.....and looks the same to me

Spend the money on a remap, ICE & suspension mods instead. B)

You would need a full respray and you'd struggle to sell it on. People would think its a cut and shut!!!! :giggle:

Rear lights are different.... ;)

+1

Mind you I would probably have the opposite view if I owned an FL....

Sure there was someone on here that did it....he bought a front end crashed pre FL and went about putting a FL front in it and also a FL dash...

Think I know who you mean - can't think of the username though.

If memory serves, if was a hybrid 09 car anyway - so pre-FL front but the updated wheel/dash/climate etc - so he just finished the job off

He might post if he sees this thread.

Ah that was it...can't think of his name or the thread title...

Wasn't it an Irish ex-plod car or am I thinking of something different?

Ah thanks for that - was irritating me not being able to remember.

True, never heard much more about it

EDIT: was online this morning though...

Me too - in the end i searched for dash and hybrid! I have replied to that thread anyway!

Noticed; good effort - you managed to successfully get something out of the current search tool :p

I know - it does seem to give seemingly random and not related results.... :giggle:
