HI all anyone know the main reason for the delays to the vrs diesel,is it just the engine supply which is causing the long waits or have they stopped bulding the vrs for a short time?

I've been waiting 4 months.

As most people on here will confirm Audi VW and Seat along with Skoda all use the same engines etc. And we are the bottom of the list

hi mate me too ordered end of sep and have been quoted last week 20 by suk, rung today but system was down.

engine suppliers can't keep up with demand.

even big brother, VW, had to shutdown one of its plants for a day so that suppliers could play catch up. article here

that's approx 3000 cars put on pause.

+1 It's the engines. It's not just the vRS - I'm looking at a six month wait for my diesel scout.

Octavia Scout DSG ordered 27 November 2010 - no delivery date yet, dealer guessing 6 months, May / June delivery. China and mainland europe taking priority I was told by a VW Dealer for 2.0 TDI CR diesel engines.

Maybe a lack of engines?

Maybe depends on 140 or 170?

Maybe depends on gearbox?

Maybe depends on custom car specifications?

Maybe it's the dealer?

Or maybe it's just yer Donald Duck?

I know someone on here who ordered 1 before xmas and allegedly it was built last week and will be delivered early March.

vRS Hatch, Race Blue, 170, DSG + a few extras.
