oil problem

Featured Replies

Hi

just had my Fabia VRS since Saturday!

Bought it from Saundersabbtts in Sidcup kent, anyways had an independent inspection done by a local garage, which i've delt with for a few years.

They flagged up that the Fabia has:

" an oil leak at the rear/top of the engine - suspect wear on the turbo as oil vapor is becoming excessive through the intercooler pipes"

They recommend having the engine steam cleaned to work out where the oil is coming from. I've just checked the oil level and it seems fine, the car's done 65k... so whether or not the previous owner has driven it 'very spiritedly' might have something to do with it..

Any help/advice would be gratefully received

clean your own engine and keep an eye on oil levels....

it should be fine

oil in intercooler pipes is completely normal

Saundersabbott, this is the place advertising the Fabia Elegance/vRS - shown in this thread:

Their prices seem steep

Sounds like it could be coming from the EGR valve - check that too.
