Hello Everyone

Hello All, I'm David & am currently driving a Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo. I'll soon be changing my car for something a little more economical!! Haven't decided yet between a VRs or a Ibiza Cupra Tdi. Hope you guys can make my mind up for me.

Cheers,

Dave.

Hello & Welcome :wavey:

Are you hoping to get an un - biased opinion ?

Well if you are then  , but you will get a completely honest BIG UP of a Skoda on here.

Steve

P.S. Oh ! just save yourself some time, Go and order 1 and have plenty of :):):):):)

If the numerous Fabia vRS owners here are to be believed, Dave, once you have test driven the baby vRS you will definitely want one. Welcome. :D

Welcome!Only way to decide is to drive them both.Having said that as soon as my wife sat in the Ibiza in a showroom she wanted to get out :D won't knock the seat because they are good cars. Just felt a bit weeny, cramped and dare I say not as posh as the skoda

Have fun choosing

Hi Dave

I'm also a Fiat coupe 20vt driver and bought a Fabia vRS in December and love it. It's not as quick as a standard (turbo) coupe, having access to both cars on a daily basis I can say with some certainty that the fiat is quicker but if, like me, you need something a little more economical then a little diesel furby gives more than enough performance for the daily commute and does raise to the occasion for some spirited driving when asked, but it's no boxter eater (even if the salesmen do like telling you about the matching torque figures).

After one month of driving and 3000 miles, the little vRS hasn't started to make any annoying squeaks or rattles (unlike the Fiat dashboard) and is returning just over 52mpg. Even when "driving it like you stole it", it's hard to get the figures below 38mpg.

Definately try one, I think you'll like it!

(oh, and like the FCCUK, there's another excellent forum here for Skoda owners!!)

S'yw mae, Dai!

I think you've come to the wrong place for unbiased advice. It doesn't matter, anyway, because A SKODA IS ALWAYS THE BEST CHOICE ;)

Seriously, though, the Fabia VRs will knock spots off the opposition.

Oh, and welcome to Briskoda. Wave if you see a red Octavia with a Briskoda sticker on the back window - it'll be me :)

Ibiza Cupra!! ;)

Just think of the 160bhp engine, 4-pot brakes etc etc... but the hefty price tag in comparison to the vRS!!

Try them both and then decide. All that can be advised really!! But, they're both good cars ;)

Hmmm... do I put the flame suit on, or do I start running now??
