Diamondbrite preparation

Featured Replies

I've managed to get hold of a kit of Jewelultra Diamonbrite for a stupidly low price. ;)

Consists of stages 1 & 2, interior protector, shampoo & conservor.

Is there any preparation I need to do before I apply stages 1 & 2 of the kit?

Obviously need to wash the car beforehand (duh!), but is that sufficient?

Car is 8 weeks old & is starting to show very fine scratches from washing. I've got some Zymol Cleaner wax, which is supposed to remove swirl marks, etc, but will this upset the surface pre-Diamondbrite?

It wil be fine for pre diamondbrite.

Cheers Ross! :D

I did mine a while back it gives good results, only problem is there are still previous wash residues under the sealant. If doing it again I would use demineralised water for the final rinse / shammy before treating with diamond brite.

I've just done mine again today...

I did the following:

Wash (inc Jet Wash under arches etc)

Wonder Wheels on the Alloys

Claybar

Rinse

Dry

Stage 1

Stage 2

Cleaned Glass inside and out

Cleaned door-shuts and engine bay

Foam Shampoo on seats

Hoover

Chamois on Dash

Took me all bloody day!!!!

Got the Diamondbrite kit on Tues, so spent the best part of 5 hours yesterday pampering the vRS:-

Pressure washed loose muck

Washed off the car with Zymol Auto Wash

Rinsed

Cleaned alloys with Wonder Wheels

Dryed whole car with microfibre cloth

Rain-X'd front windscreen & side windows

Polished whole car with Zymol Cleaner Wax

Diamondbrite Stage 1

Wait 15 mins

Diamondbrite Stage 2

Wait 30 mins

Buffed up with microfibre cloth

Was bloody knackered when I had finished! :D But it's worth it - very shiny finish!

It had rained over night & the water just beads up on the car now. Excellent stuff.

I think I'll do the interior tonight or next week cos I'm exhausted! :D

Jon, I did mine with Diamonbrite way back in early sept 04 just after picking my furby up. Apart from regular washing i have done nothing else, and even now the rain beads look sh!t scared to stay on the bodywork. Super stuff AND I only used half at the time so come spring I will coat it again

Yeah, I only used half of stage 1 & 2, so I 'll be able to use it again sometime. :)

It wil be fine for pre diamondbrite.

Is it safe to reapply the diamondbright process more than once , say each year , and does this aid the paint protection .

If you use the conserver once a month, then there is no need to.

But if it's lost it's shine, then it won't harm it.
