Forge Split R Questions

Featured Replies

Hi everyone emoticon-0100-smile.gif

Im looking into getting a forge split R dump valve for my mk1 octavia vRS 20v 1.8T.

Ive seen that people have problems setting them up?? What do they mean setting them up, as in, what would i need to do to mine if my engine is completely standard??

Also ive seen spring colours?? Not sure what to do as i have no clue lolemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Any help much appreciated.

Best off getting a forge 007p recirculating valve, that's what the car is designed for.

Standard spring is all you'll need if standard. So just buy and fit!

(Oem boost is 9psi - set standard boost spring to that)

A lot of people on here are using a compbrake version of the 007p that you can buy off eBay for about £40 with no issues. The Split R seems more aggro. If you want a whoosh sound then you can get a more prominent whoosh by fitting a cold air intake.
