Lowering and Chassis Adjustability?

Featured Replies

Morning!

I'm looking to lowering the fabia so I'm thinking of getting a set of Eibach springs. My previous car was Civic type-r and when I lowered that I purchased additional parts to correct the wheel camber etc. Here are my questions:

1. Do I need to purchase any additional parts to avoid any adverse effects from lowering the car?

2. Are there any parts that are recommended to be fitted at the same time (but not required)?

3. Is there enough adjustability in the chassis/suspension components to set the geometry properly after lowering?

Thanks in advance,

Owen

I don't think the 25mm drop of Eibach's will have too much of an affect on camber. Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do to address it as the camber isn't adjustable on the front of a fabia. And new top mounts and bearings are the main bits to replace when fitting new suspension. You could also get the console bushes replaced at the same time which may help with the camber issue a bit if yours are getting a bit tired as it'll make sure the wishbones are held in the proper place.
