Furby vRS - rattling by passenger door?

Featured Replies

Just noticed this the other day (had the car since last Thurs) and I can't put my finger on what's causing it. Anyone else had something similar. I've tried to check it's not the door panel or anything nearby while driving along, and the rattle is intermittant. Thought it could also have been in the area by the seatbelt reel...

Ideas?

Steve,

I have a simlar problem, but really can't find out what it is! Is quite apparent when you go over rough surfaces... I seem to have a few little rattles, but nothing dramatic. Anyone have any ideas???

Dave

Do you have a CD autochanger under the passenger seat? If so check that the door to the magazine's slot is slid home & shut properly, else it rattles...

Nope, no CD changer, but thanks for the suggestion. I do have some stuff in the passenger seat cubby hole, but the rattle started before I put anything in there!

Did you get it sorted then Ian? By dealer? Under warranty?

Just back in now, and I'm sure it's happening on driver's side now as well

Its part of the lock assembly..

i bet if you put your finger on the locking pin whilst driving along.. youll find it stops... common problem with them apparently.. dealer can fix (well horners bury knew exactly what it was)

Actually Colin, I think you're right... I did put my finger on the pin and it did seem to stop, but I thought it might have been a coincidence!

Tell us how to make it stop!!!

I think its the linkage that goes from the lock up to the door pin.. needs a bit of foam insulation :)

Interesting, cheers Colin. I'll have a go at that when I'm next out, see if that makes it stop. Then look into getting it sorted.

Thanks, Steve.
