Man you'll be using those dual controls quite a bit when teaching a youngster I bet!! :-) Gotta watch out for those curbed alloys too! V nice motor, extremely jealous as having to wait months for ours!

I have to be honest, I dont really think having driven one that it warrants a remap. Is well rapid for a small car. Once run in i'm confident it will break 60 in less than 7 seconds, 139/140mph top speed thats plenty quick enough.

Its a good handling car but I think without sufficient work to the suspension and perhaps brakes another 40 -45hp may be a bit much for it. I'd be inclined to just leave be, particularly given that you teach folks to drive in it, learning in a 180ps car is an amazing thing in itself. I learnt in a 60 odd hp 1.5 TD Vauxhall Nova! What a pig that was!

every car I've had I've been hankering after more power, but I'm tending to agree, this is pretty bloody rapid as it is! autoexpress tested one and got it to 60 in 6.8 seconds.... quick by any standards... and the learners don't drive it fast, they are too scared! lol.... just started a new one today, (she has had loads of lessons where she used to live, so had experiance) and I had to push her to get her upt 60 mph! lol.....

don't worry about the wait, just think how much you will enjoy it when it gets here

I really like the look of that, have you got any interior pics? I might consider a DSG equipped car for commuting when it's time to change the 500 as a manual can become tiring in traffic.

weirdly enought 90% wont put their foot down, it scares them too much :giggle: they tend to treat full throttle like stepping on a land mine... just too much hell will be let loose ! lol...

Louise must have been in the 10% as she told me you used to have to tell her to slow down.

NICE..... to see the beading of the rain when I took it back out after waxing it so carefully, was very satisfying... I think even I agree that a new car should have its painwork pampered a bit....

Dealer called the other day, expecting delivery 1st week of June.....seems so far away!

Yeah 6.8 secs to 60 is really rather quick, on the right bit of road with a decent driver behind the wheel I'd like to see a MK6 Golf GTi try to leave one behind, be interesting I think. Without doubt would stay with a MK5.

how bad do the wheels get? they seem to clean up well but i guess it is going to mean a lot of cleaning to keep them like that.

they do get dirty, but the design makes them easy to clean, smooth easily accessable surfaces.... (unlike the multispokes on my prevois car!) I'm going to keep on top of it , as that makes it much easier than letting them get really bad and then trying to sort it.

It does look like the rally car when its dirty though, so I don't mind that much :giggle:

I suppose "black chrome" would be the easist to clean
