would place my bets on faulty ccm module or drivers door harness.

personally had most of those issues and the problem was CCM module, which i took apart and found this:

the door harness is ok at the pins but it had been rubbing on the door frame wires seemed ok but it had gone through the harness wrap, where is the ccm located must be worth alook

take off the plastic cover that goes above pedals (3 screws if i remember correctly), this will give u access to the steering column from the bottom. there you will see (if you put ur head next to the pedals) steering rack and a black plastic box (10x15cm or so) with two connectors. that's ur CCM module, undo two screws and it will come out.

requires little fiddling when doing for the first time, but after that - gonna be ok :)

thanks very much i will try tomorrow can this also cause the boot not to unlock

yes, as i had issues as well. just my boot was not locking/unlocking, had to lock/unlock it manually every single time.

mines completely dead have to climb in the boot and use the emergency release to get it open

  • 1 month later...

I know its a old topic but MY boot will only lock and unlock manually as above possibly faulty CCM module

do i clean it? or replace it? thanks

I had a problem a few weeks back where the door locks would 'click' as if there are locking/unlocking , checked the door harness and the ccm module only to discover that the rear washer pipe connector at the cd changer has come undone and was leaking water into the plug behind the carpet making the locks go crazy ,after reconnecting the tube and letting the plug dry out then clean it with contact cleaner , it all works as should

the last owner of my car had valeted the car and with all the snow and weather we had it didnt really dry out over the winter i use to get lots of water on the back screen, this got into the boot lock and shorted the lock out, new one was £12 from tps two screws to change it and my boot has worked fine ever since
