If you use the search feature you'll get loads of threads on EGR deletes, haven't done it personally but from what i've read theres pro's and con's mainly dpeending what engine type you have, ASZ or BLT.

Mine is a Blt is that the problem one ?

It means it's more difficult to get the engine management light to go out, but fitting and that is the same

IIRC the BLT engine has the ASV (anti shudder valve) seperate from the EGR valve whereas the ASZ engine has it incorporated into the EGR, so you can remove the EGR valve on the BLT engine without loosing the ASV which seems to be the major drawback on doing the EGR delete on an ASZ engine, however I think doing the EGR delete in either case can bring up the CEL light which you would need to get mapped out

Happy to help mate :)

Unplug EGR vacuum hose from top of EGR valve. Plug hose with golf tee, job done and 10p out of your pocket rather than that over priced Allard carp. Live with CEL light, or have it mapped out.

You will get slightly less MPG, and cruise engine temps will be higher,, with possible earlier than usual valve seat damage.

Alternatively, do the Elephant Hose PCV mod, and retain the EGR. This stops the crankcase oil vapor from creating the sticky mess inside the EGR.
