Proper Coding For The Rns 510 And Bt 5N0 035 730 D Without Phone Cradle

Featured Replies

Hi, I have just replaced on my Superb II, 2010, the old Bluetooth 5N0 035 730 B module with 5N0 035 730 D. I changed because the latter supports both rSAP and iPhone. Following replacement, everything works very well but I have one problem. The guy, who made replacement, could not set proper coding with VAG COM. Apparently, he had to code manually and he set the coding for the system that has a telephone cradle. In fact my car does not have the phone cradle. Since system cannot find the cradle it gives a fault. I have RNS 510, white Maxidot, MDI, aux, TV tuner.

Can anyone post the proper VAG COM coding for RNS 510 with BT without phone cradle?

You will need to recode your phone module adr 77 using VCDS. VCDS is selfexplaing on that point. If you cant set the proper coding it is probably because your VCDS is running in stealth mode.

The coding I have in my Superb II (2008MY) is as follows:

Columbus:

Address 37: Navigation (J0506) Labels: 1T0-035-680.lbl

Part No SW: 3T0 035 680 HW: 3T0 035 680

Component: RNS-MID H03 0904

Revision: AB001001 Serial number: SKZxxxxxxxxxx

Coding: 040600000000008300

Bluetooth module:

Address 77: Telephone

Control Module Part Number: 3C8 035 730

Component and/or Version: Telefon 2800

Coding: 0020121

This came from a log a friend took of my car about 6 months ago. I've since upgraded the Columbus firmware to 2764, but the coding hasn't changed. Like you, I'm about to upgrade to the newer bluetooth module, and my understanding is that no recoding is required. You simply plug it in, and it should work.

Hope this helps,

Andy.

Hi,

For what its worth, here is what I get when I scan using the vcds cable. I cannot get the climate control or reverse sensors to show (the * special functions listed on page 8 of the Columbus manual) and am having issues with the maxidot as well. Am at a loss now. (car is a pre-fl Octavia RS)

Thanks a lot, tomorrow I will see if it works. Re: to upgrade to the newer bluetooth module. I had to change wiring to from BT to RNS, as it was explained, in order to have stereo audio streaming.

Hi, I tried to recode the BT module. It did not help. The module was not coded at all. I need LONG CODING for the module 5N0 035 730 D (address 77). My car is SKODA Superb II LA 118KW CDAA.

Hi toplogin,

Could you give me a pointer to the extra wiring that's needed to get bluetooth stereo. This is the only remaining issue that I have with my unit.

Thanks,

Andy.

Okay. Found it now:

4 Audio RF Signal Out + connected to be connected to pin 11 con 3

5 Audio RF Signal Out – connected to be connected to pin 5 con 3

Topline this should help I'm not sure of your specific vehicle but if you don't have these options in VCDS then you have an old version and need to update to the latest.

toplogin: Did you get proper longcode combination for your setup ? I got the same one , and just cant properly configure phone module to get it working with VAGCOM

Try this. 020000000100010000000000

Tried 020000010100010000000400 and 020000000100010000000000 with VagCom 10.64 , but can not see any bluetooth sid/network in range on all my phones at home.

I have a feeling that the unit is just DOA , or I need to enable bluetooth via adaptation channel 133 like old modules (but I can not due to absence access to the channels for this module on 10.64 or even 9.08) , or I just start thinking that maybe the unit is not working because I do not have maxidot , just standard white display.

My config is:

1.9 FL octavia , 2009 , Ambiente

RNS510

and of course 5N0035730D

Do anyone have 5N0 035 730 D working with standard white display on FL octavia ?

Does anyone know how to re-activate voice control for the Bluetooth module?

I replaced my bluetooth module with one that will work with my iPhone and all seemed to work ok, other than when I did an autos can with VCDS I got 4 error codes. I have recoded using the information above and all codes gone now but I have no voice control anymore!

Thanks,

Mark
