Need Help With Mods on Octavia

Featured Replies

Hi!

Need some advice...Was looking to make some changes to my India spec vRS octavia (150 BHP on account of 91 RON fuel). Was looking for suggestions on what mods I could make. Some thoughts in from reading various threads & articles on the forum...

1. Turbo Inlet Pipe (which brand? performance? ease of fitting?)

2. Cold Air Intake ? (performance gains? hot weather here? brand? has anyone tried the K&N CCAI system?)

3. Exhaust ?

Really need advice on what delivers bang for the buck in terrms of performance (keeping the fuel quality in mind!)

Look forward to your thoughts & advice!!!:)

1. There's a couple you could go for...ABD Racing TIP or a SAMCO TIP. ABD is metal one and is direct replacement for the standard TIP. SAMCO is a silcon pipe which replace the standard TIP and the rubber pipe from it to the MAF.

2. PLenty to choose from....Carbonio, Neupseed, Dynatwist, Jabba.......for a standard and a remapped car you'll probably get a little better response low down and perhaps a little loss at the top end.....a couple of our members did some testing. Will also make the DV more noticeable as well as the induction roar.......will be loader in other words. K&N has a bit of a reputation for killing MAFs however, this is more likely due to the filters being over oiled after cleaning.

3. The only real gains your going to get is by changing the down pipe and cat. Milltek do a 200cel cat and sport dp...they also do a 100cel cat. Blueflame also do a sports dp and a 100cel cat. You could run a decat but I'm not sure what your emissions legislation is like. Can also choose products from Superpsprint but not cheap. Would be worth have a cat back system if you change the dp/cat....not really worth it the other way round.

I'm sure someone else will add anything I have missed etc.
