LED bulbs and rev limiter

Featured Replies

hi all, ive got some LED bulbs for the number plate i am on my second set as the first ones dint work. it seems that theses are dicky too.. unless you tap them, then sometimes they work!! i think somethings are just best left alone. as anyone else had the same problem??

and also what is the rev limit on a vrs??

cheers Ant

Fabia vRS MK1 rev limit is just over 4.5K RPM, same as most diesels.

Don't bother with the led bulbs as they don't last as long as normal bulbs even though there supposed to !

I've had 3 numberplate led bulbs and a sidelight led bulb and all went pop within 6 months so now back using standard bulbs

I've had 2 pairs of rear plate ones and blown within a month :(

However I bought some 1st sidelight ones for about £4 a pair on eBay and they work to perfection. Had them for nearly a year now.

hmmm, well mine went to 5.1k rpm today thats why i asked the question.

Mine (not remapped) goes to about 5200 rpm, and contrary to popular opinion, I think revving it to the redline is faster than changing up at 4000rpm.
