vRS Leather Protection

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend any good leather products for my new vRS. I want to keep it in good condition.

Autoglym leather care cream once a year, and their vinyl care for quick wipe downs maybe once a month.

LTT range here, PB NLS for the plastics.

+1 for the gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner, been using it for years on my motorbike leathers and they still look as good as new ;)

I started off with the protection route, and it looks great after a clean & protect. I felt that it didn't last long enough and the leather wasn't benefitting from the protection as much as i'd like (autoglym cleaner, then conditioner).

Now i'm convinced the best approach is just regular cleaning. Disposable wipes are easier / faster, just buy good quality ones.

Once you've cleaned the leather as a longer lasting alternative to a conditioner mentioned above, I'd recommend the Carpet Protector out of an Autoglym Lifeshine pack.

Dispite the title it's also recommended for protecting leather.

Apply with a cotton stockinette or short pile microfibre and leave to dry, ideally overnight.

Future cleaning just requires a wipe down with a damp cloth

Obviously an added bonus is you can use it on your carpet mats & boot carpet etc so the bottle won't go to waste B)

I'm a big fan of the Raceglaze pairing - the fact that the guys at Polished Bliss have regularly used it for their details regularly over the past year or two speaks volumes, if you're familiar with the standards of their work!

Glipstone for me. Used them for years.
