Hi,

I'm looking to get my Vrs remapped but I want to know if anyone can recommend a good garage who know there stuff and do a spot on job. I live in the north east Washington but I would be willing to travel. Also what sort of gains should I be looking at?

try dpm performance he has a subforum on briskoda or try pd tuning,both pretty close to you too

Avoid PD Tuning like the plague!

I travelled down to see Ben at Shark and to be honest would have travelled double the distance! Ben will give you straight up honest advice and knows what he is talking about...unlike some other tuners out there.

I've not seen the mk5 golf forum if I'm honest its just personal opinion from my experience - either the guy didn't know what he was talking about or was trying to rip me off, either way I wouldn't want to give them my business. Also I have seen some examples of their mapping on a couple of fabia vrs's and the smoked like mad and the map was not smooth at all.

All boils down to personal experience I suppose but I have not even seen one bad word about Shark's work anywhere

Hi Rob, I used Triple H Motorsports 3yrs ago which are based in Newcastle. He came highly recommended from some guys on this site, I live in Hull but was worth the journey to get it done. I chose the Revo remap with the select plus key, I have never had any problems with the car and I still run the car and its still very quick!! Hmm my mate never thought much of them either. On a recent RR day there they ran every car in third gear his was a 300bhp front wheel drive Vectra VXR, can you imagine the wheel spin!

I would love to give Sharks map ago one day.

pendleperformance are based in Lancashire and they have a great reputation amongst the VW crew,my mate has had a few VRS's remapped and a couple of VW vans remapped by them he wont use anyone else.

Pendle don't load on generic maps like some companies do but custom remap every car.

I will be taking my next car there for a remap and i live in Houghton Le Spring

I have a bluefin for mine mate, gains depend on fuel type...petrol? Diesel?

***Top Tip*** Not sure if Ben still does it but Shark Performance seems to normally do a discount for Brisky FREEDOM members 10% IIRC making a great saving and helping support the site at the same time worth asking about. Many good mappers out there doing custom maps but I don't think any can do a better job than Shark Performance from the extremely high ratings from folk on here.
