Seen ya in Baldoyle today, the Lamin-X treatment looks brilliant in the flesh............well done.

Bryan

What's happened to the idea of the LED tail lights? Thought that was a certainty?

Mike

Shelved at the moment - not convinced on the side on view of the lights, and haven't seen a pic yet to convince me

Hence considering going down the lamin-x route

Ha cheers, wondered who it was-heard the beep, turned 'round and saw a dark blue Octy with Octy Sport rear spoiler & 17" Octy Sport wheels? Looked well, I didn't get a good look at it, just enough to see the above. Did you have it colour coded as well or do you have the Sport bumpers on it? B)

PS Do you work around there?

The rears look ace like that, spot on tint wise

Its an Elegance with the "sport" boot spoiler, the bumpers are standard. I had the chrome grill colour coded a couple of years ago when the car was in the body shop having some damage repaired.

I rep around the country and do a bit of business with the lads in Grange H/Ware. I thought I recognised the Industrial estate from the pictures you posted.

Does the lamin-x affect the light output at all ??

Ah! Peter & Tommy Cosgrave et al...! Know them well. Used to rep the 32 counties myself 'til last year.

I really haven't noticed any reduction in light output, although I have a HID kit fitted. I don't do very much mileage at present anyway, even less at night.

Clever idea with the rear lights, out of interest, is the film on the inside or outside of the ligts, I only ask as the Lamin-X film is quite a thick product and I wondered if its on the outside does the gradiant between light and film notice?

Outside. Inside is impossible to get at unless you're a successful 'car lamp splitter' :p :D

If you run your hand over it you would just feel it, but otherwise no, not visible. If you examine a FL rear lamp closely, there are a couple of lines surrounding the clear/silver section-I just cut very carefully around them.

Get the clear stuff, cut out the reversinging light and lay that over some tinted film. Cut that out and stick both the clear and tinted onto the lights.
