Track Your Yeti if ordered in sheffield or mansfield

Featured Replies

I apologise if this is already known about or posted on here, i have posted it on another thread as part of an answer, but i thought maybe it'd help better if it had its own thread.

The dealer gave a means to track my order, he gave me what he called an SLI number which i believe is the order number, and a website called trackmyskoda found here http://www.trackmyskoda.co.uk/

you put your SLI number in the searchbox provided and it gives you the current situation of your order, apparently it gives you a build week first, but this can be pushed back or brought forward untill you get the build week confirmed. the next bits of information are build complete/then in transport or at dockside/ then where ever they store them for the dealers in the uk and finally at the dealers.

Heres what my order currently looks like

Model: Yeti S 2.0 TDI CR DPF 110 PS 5G Man

(Please note that vehicle options are not shown)

Exterior Colour: Orange Tangerine Metallic

Status: No Assignment of a Build Week

Build Week: 0

(Please note: The first 4 digits above are the year and the last 2 are the week number i.e a number above of '201101' would be week 01 of the year 2011. Please note that build weeks may or may not be confirmed and are subject to change. Please check back on regular intervals.)

Check another order status below

Please enter your reference number (SLI Number) as supplied into the box below to check your order status:

hope this helps if it hasnt already been posted

EDIT:apparently someone says on here thats this method is limited to to dealers in south yorkshire, no harm in trying though is there

Thanks for this! I just registered with them, as I was getting fed up pestering my dealer for info!!

Cheers!

Stouff.

I tried using this facility some while back and it would not work. We were told that it was only of use for people ordering cars from a couple of dealers or so and/or applied to fleet vehicles only. I winged that the web page which looked so authentic re anybody to use should state these restrictions in order to prevent so many people wasting their time.

My experience too - a waste of time (and not supported by SUK, with whom I queried it).

It is wierd if thats the case, something like this would make ours and the dealers life a lot simpler wouldnt it

And there's me thinking this was going to be a thread calling for Yeti owners to sign up for Top Gear inspired trackdays :D

True - and in this electronic age I don't see why they couldn't make it simpler for the customer (well, of course, I do really - because we would potentially be on the dealers' backs even more if we had access to the same information as them and could see delays building up, for example: as things stand, it's much easier for them to fob us off with excuses or even - dare I suggest it - the occasional blatant lie).

Alas, I just received the same email saying I'm not eligible to have my Yeti tracked! How elitist! ;-)

I have just tried to register with trackmyskoda.co.uk and received an immediate email saying that the site only tracks orders placed with Bickerton Skoda in Sheffield & Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield. So, no joy there then!

I suggest this thread is renamed RED HERRING ... as elusive as the Yeti itself!

I know someone that ordered their Octy from a different dealer and was apparently able to track it online. May be worth enquiring with your dealer.

Hi

I ordered my Yeti from Rainworth Skoda and i was given this system also to track the journey of my Yeti.

Im my case it worked well and kept me informed of what stage the car was at and then it let me know when it left the factory and when it came in to the country and then the dealer.

I thought this system worked well in my case and i have no complaints at all.

My Yeti arrived lately after a 5 month wait and i love it .

Gordon
