Alarm / Central locking / electric windows

Featured Replies

Just had an odd problem resolved.

Car has suffered from the occasional false alarm for a year or so - which I put down to things moving in the car after the alarm had been set. Car went into Skoda garage for an unrelated job on Saturday and on return, the car alarm went off twice for no reason. On the second occasion, it wasn't possible to lock the car with the remote, the "door open" warning came up and the interior lights stayed on.

Diagnosed as a problem with the "window motor" (I suspect it's actually the controller) and that "we've had a load of Roomsters with the same problem recently - including brand new ones."

Thankfully for me this occurred the right side of the warranty expiring.
