The biggest, baddest vRS

Featured Replies

Don't often pay a visit to the Octavia forums so I thought it'd be nice to see who has the most powerful Octavia vRS on here in terms of BHP/Torque, confirmed 0-60's, 0-100's etc. I heard JabbaSport had one around the 320 bhp mark?

Anyway, here's a time to show off a little and brag about your stats.

Well i had my Octy re-mapped before i did any of the other modifications to it and had 230bhp.

i'm hoping that now i've fitted the FMIC,Samco TIP,Full Exhaust System that after i've had my re-map tweeked i should have 250bhp/260lbft like Stuart J and Leeboy.

not the quickest but am interested in the AM-Motorsport K03s with part K04 internals and some other differences, before i get the map re-mapped,hopefully should see 275+bhp.

It's sitting at IP awaiting stronger bones.

Still there Des,must be getting very strong bones!!!!

It needs it, trust me.

Ian, in more recent times, the red baron has been spotted in the guise below

?iid=y5mmvi&outx=600&oq=0

Notice how this red baron looks almost like a mini moving along sideways/backwards. Having seen it myself, I can confirm that this is in fact an optical illusion - on warp speed completion, the driver hauled himself out of the red baron and I can confirm it was Paul, owner of the ultimate skud missile :D

Speaking of which, did Paul ever get the Red Baron sold?

(merely curious, can't aoffrd to buy, run or insure it........ :( )

And at a price that I could've probably afforded too. Though wouldn't stand a hope in hell's chance of insuring it... :(

Rob.

the baron can still be heard stalking the mean streets of preston... but not with me at the wheel.

let it remain a legend.

It needs it, trust me.

Des...are we talking about DaveU`s motor:confused:

Phil:P

edit by Q: let's keep this to ourselves, shall we? ;)

All talk... never seen wasting more expensive machinery on a regular basis...

:jab:

;)

What power was "Red Barons" car pushing? I know it obviously had fantastic suspension.

The Red Baron was the car...no idea what power it was pushing out. I got the impression it was tuned with the view to be a good track car, rather than producing high numbers on a RR though...

Oh yes, but it could be all talk. ;)

Dave's ya man if you want more info.

depends how it was setup

it was all latop tuneable and could run silly 3xx numbers on 106 octane fuel

280 was prob fairer for day to day..

the funniest bit was the 80-140 mph time.. you could literally read out the speedo and it moved as fast as you could say it...

shame it ate gearboxes for breakfast.. but tbh that was cureable if its career had not been cut short by its owners failings.......:D

I believe James Vrs is the quickest on here at the moment.

Not just about the power - there was quite a bit of weight saving going on too! Sure I heard somewhere it had the same power/weight as Paul's TVR :D

Chris

that RRS thing looks to have the 20vT lump from an audi S3 or 225hp TT. deffinately has the engine cover and cooling pipes for the twin intercooler setup from one.

so whats the top bhp from just a re-map??

Chris

Paul thought I was getting obsessive when I threw the grab handles at him :D

If it could be detached, it was detached.....

Does it have to be an RS? I reckon my SDI would give most RSs on here a good run for their money

Oh and my old black 1.4 16V wasn't too slow either :D

Of the current ones, that are running, I'd say the standard one belonging to the Mudway Tarmac Baron would be one of the quickest ;)

...but surely his is standard? :D:rofl:

Indeed

Still reckon mine is the quickest SDI :D
