EGR Power Pipe Problems = (

Featured Replies

Hello all. I fitted a egr power pipe a week ago, I switched the engine management light off by vag com and blanked off the vacuum hoses but re appeared after a short drive. I've tried reconnecting the egr valve with the vacuum hoses to see if that made a difference and cleared the fault code. But once again after a drive the light has come back on. Any ideas how to get round this?

Many thanks

I got my cel light mapped out when the car was re mapped.

Mines already been mapped though and wont be getting mapped again for at least 6 months. Doing my head in!

you need it mapped out, you can't get rid of it via VCDS

Does it work different on the ARL engines as my mates golf, it was cleared and that was the end of it?

Should still throw up a fault code tbh...

i had to get mine mapped out when i got a custom map...

im sure some tuning companys will just map out the CEL for £50... all you can do in vag com is turn the egr down i believe
