PD130 stage 2 remap!

Featured Replies

Has anybody had a 130PD custom remapped on a standard clutch?

The reason i ask is i had a new clutch fitted a year ago before having it generic remapped, just wondered if i could go to a custom one wihtout it slipping!

A friend of mine has a passat sport 130PD that he had mapped by Awesome, suppose to be putting out 175BHP that's on standard clutch which as far as he knows is the original and has now done 110,000miles. Its only been re-mapped for about the last 5000miles and to be honest he very rarely gives it any stick.Ive driven it a few times and theres a far slug of torque so I think if you kept driving it hard you could destroy it quite quickly but once you get over the first few weeks of excitment probably be ok. Although not sure if you have the same clutch as his, I know he initially was worried but so far so good!
