Yeah this all a bit much now guys.

I'm as guilty as the next man, but I think it's time to call it quits now.

Dear nicky-wicky1985,

Well I am not claiming that figure if you read the listing. However, neither am I trying to mislead anyone as all of the bhp figures I have stated come from the manufacturers web sites! Also you are incorrect regarding the turbo hose as it overcomes the sharp bend of the original and allows more air to flow into the turbo. I felt the difference as soon as I drove the car. If you haven't done your's you should try it!

Jajajajajajajajajaja That's what *a I call a fine tuned butt dyno

Muero de Risa

We're a protective lot on here and will defend/protect what we see as 'The Way of the Skoda'. If someone out there starts to mess about with the unwritten rules, we get a bit uppity and lash out. Putting vRS stickers and Lexus lights on a prefacelift non-vrs winds some people up, which is understandable.

Maybe he's learned a lesson, maybe not. At least he knows now that people on Briskoda are a united bunch and will gather together at times to educate the unenlightened few about what's acceptable and what's not.

p.s. Talking of Lexus, did you see what Paris Hilton got for her birthday?

Don't do that - You might damage the wall

We are bad people :smirk: but maybe we are the kind of people that cut down those we hang after we are finished  it may help us sleep at night

Is this thread not getting a bit out of hand? Aren't we better than this?

If this chap had come on here making these claims, then sure, open game for a bit of "re-education".

But he didn't. He is selling a modified car on ebay and is obviously quite proud of it, probably spent alot of time and money on it. It's not to most peoples tastes, but doesn't look a bad car for the money and 40 odd quid sorts out a set of secondhand rear lights... I have seen far,far worse octavia's on ebay, and quite possibly, dare I say it, it may just be quicker than a standard VRS if it's running approx 200bhp.

Yeah this all a bit much now guys.

I agree. We should bigger than this.

An idiot will always be an idiot

Apparantley he's a member on here funny how he's not come running to defend his "VRS EATER":rofl::rofl:

Yes!!!!

Won the auction for a mere £1271 :o

Cant wait to collect it now

Anyone want to race me?

:giggle:

Damo

I personally like the line at the bottom about the key and "...I like to be honest."

How about showing some of this honesty on the true power rating of this vehicle?!

Yeah, I had to pull out of the deal :(

My insurance wouldn't cover the extra 50bhp from the steering wheel cover :D

Damo

I was in much the same boat, not covered for the 40 ton certified tow bar that adds 80BHP while improving MPG by 15%.

Tom

I thought of making him an offer. If he paid for a rolling road session and proved the BHP figures, I'd buy it off him for the reserve price and pay for the rolling road cost too.

This is a fantastic chance to make some money on his investment and for me to buy a car with over 230bhp for not much money. Everyone wins and the sceptics are silenced.

What do you think?

I suspect the battery has gone in the key fob (never changed since I've owned it) they are only a few pounds, but I thought I should mention it.

Then damn well change it!

Why do people put silly text like this in adverts. Even if it doesn't bother him using the key in the lock, as a buyer I would want to see the remote fob actually work. For the outlay of roughly £1 aswell...

Oh dear, what have I started.. :giggle:

FWIW this was meant as a laugh, not any personal attack on someone's (admittedly questionable) modifying taste....or mathematical/technical/grammar/advertising-script-writing skills....

But seriously, could he not just have put 'too many mods to list'????
