Errr, 400nm of torque? Thats only 295lbs/ft!! Standard makes 235nm / 173lbs/ft! for 500bhp i'd expect alot more!!

Reading through most of the thread it isn't anywhere near 500bhp. Is even lists the mods at the start of the thread. It seems more like 300- 350 bhp.

+1 - It would need something like a GT30 to make 500bhp.

Having read the spec I would tend to agree with the 300-350. Most cars Ive seen with the bigger figures are often bored to 1900 or 2000 cc as part of the build & theres no mention of that, I would also agree it would need a bigger turbo

The spec does mention both top end and bottom end work to the engine.

It only mentions that the turbo is a hybrid IHI, not what model, nor how it had been modified.

From what I remember IHI do turbo's of a similar size to the Garret GT3xxxR/S family.

TBH, couldn't be bothered to wade through that thread to see if dyno results where ever posted

they did well i think on testing des put up a chart not that long ago but you cant get them anymore
