Keeping hopeful to ordering a vRS in the near future (before the end of the No VAT deal) and was wondering what people are experiencing for waiting times for their orders?

I think if i ordered it and had to wait months, i'd cry! haha!

Dealers have quoted 10-12 week wait times from order to delivery to us, but i'm aware some people have had longer waits. We ordered on 10th January and don't have a build date yet for our vRS estate.

My dealer quoted me 15 weeks waiting time and i order my vRS estate on 24 january and i do not have a build date for it yet

i was quoted 16-20 weeks for my vrs estate ordered the end of january

4 Month wait and counting for me

Guys I think i'm going to have to ask my dealer for a test drive every week just to keep this addiction at bay if i go ahead and order one. I don't think I could wait this long! I'll end up going cold turkey! :(

I ordered my VRS Hatch on 14/01/2011 and have just recieved confirmation from dealer that it is a week 9 build so should be ready for pick up end March/early April - 11 Weeks (if all go's to plan). Think ive been quite lucky compared to others. Think the estate takes a lot longer. Maybe they need to fill quota before authorising build dates??

Got mine today just under 8 weeks believe it or not

Yeah I'm really hoping if i get this order in for March, they'll be getting it to me in a couple of months tops (fingers crossed)

Ordered an estate on 8th of Feb, no build date as of yet. Salesman is hopeful of getting a build date this week.I was originally told 17 weeks.

As long as i have it for my hols ill be a happy bunny

Ordered my VRs on the 15th of Feb. Hatch, red with a black roof. Any ideas on a delivery time for the hatch?

When I picked it up yesterday my dealer said they are still quoting 12-16 weeks however he said the 1.4 TSI 180 engine has a decent level of supply. He said diesels are taking up to 6 months to come through.

I hope you guys get yours in a similar time frame as my vRS.

Been in touch with the dealer and he says my spec should be ready in 9-10 weeks after order! WOOHOO! Sounds good

Another thing on the build times, dealer originally said delivery from factory to dealership was taking 2 - 3 weeks in 2010 but Skoda as a group due to demand in all countries was trying to cut that down to 1 1/2 weeks.

Hope this speeds everyones along...

Waiting times are bad for the vRS. We were quoted 17 - 23 weeks. Ordered ours on 30th Jan and wont be here approx 1st week of June. Lead times for the 1.2 TSi DSG we were also thinking of buying were worse though, 23 - 27 weeks if my memory serves me well.

Sounds like everyone being told something slightly different.

Not trying to sound smug but I had quite a few extras on mine - how come i get just shy of 8 weeks and no one else has ? Surely quite a few vRS's will arrive in a similar time period. Hopefully one of you will beat this time.

The slight bad point with the above was no 11 plate but - oh well.

Ordered on the 1st of Feb and was told I had build week 14 just last week. I phoned up yesterday for any new updates and now they don't have a build week for me ...

Was that for the estate or the hatch?

They're now quoting 16 weeks from point of order... so theoretically only 12 more to go, but still no build date so pretty meaningless at this point.

we ordered a VRS hatch with loads of options. I assume that means it takes longer to build, but our dealers described the build process (in not so many words) as a black hole where orders go in, and cars come out - but what happens in between is anyone's guess.

Louis the load of options thing is meaningless, I had 11 options on mine and it came in 8 weeks.

Its more the black hole comment you made that sounds about right.

Ordered mine on 18th Jan, been told mine is being built on week 10....how long does it take from build to delivery?

Mine was build week 5 so could have been built up to and including Friday 4th February. Dealer called to say it had been built and arrived at Dealers on 15th February. I picked it up on 19th February.

Hope this gives you some idea.

Just got give a build week 16 for my vrs. Ordered it in feb. Happy days.
