Firstly is there anyway i can get vagcom onto my laptop and get the leads required for my 53 plate vrs.. if so how can I.

Secondly how do i reset the service indication.

Would like to know this too, my car was serviced (oil and filters, cambelt and waterpump) at an independent and I don't think they reset the service indicator. It's doing my head in having it come up all the time.

The latest vagcom is available from most official dealers at around £260. This will do all VAG cars right up to date.

Anything else is either unreliable Chinese knock-off, or pirated.

In an effort to get people to come to the show (link below) I will also offer to reset any service lights / clear fault codes, on the day.

On my VRS i reset the service indicator by....

Ignition off, press in odometer reset rod and keep pressed

Turn ignition on, keep holding in odometer reset rod

Will eventually clear the symbol and leave blanks, at this point you can set mileage for indicator to reappear if you want, if not then just release

Thats it, no spanner or service indicator anymore!
