I hit some motorway debris yesterday which cut the front spoiler. Also when looking under the off side behind the front wheel there is a metal grille flat to the floor, what is this and should it have a cover over it? Fabia model is 55 1.9Tdi Elegance.

Cheers mate, I've now got to make up my mind whether to claim off the insurance for the spoiler.

When I was a lad bumpers were chrome and anything below the chrome bit was a spoiler. Spoilers are there to aid airflow and bumpers to 'protect' the car, therefore the lower part of the front plastic component is a spoiler. IMHO.

I'm sure it could be sorted quite cheaply
