My V6 wagon's Columbus occasionally re-starts at random. Has anyone else experienced this? An after-market Kufatec Fiscon bluetooth phone system is installed (has been since new)but I don't think that is the problem as the re-start issue has only recently happened.

I have had this a couple of times seemingly at random but it seems to have sorted itself out and haven't had that happen for a good few months...

Could it be that it is overheating? I see that you are in Oz so not sure what the weather is like there at the moment...warmer than here i would imagine!

My Columbus occasionally throws a "wobbler" for no reason. sometimes it just refuses to change the volume, other times it just freezes on the "systen starting" screen. On all occasions once I have switched off the car and gone back later it seems fine again. if it starts up properly it will be fine , it has never given trouble in the middle of a journey when it is navigating etc. The problem is that when you go to your dealer it behaves fine, so I just live with it these days!

The Columbus unit has two fans, one is normally heard when switching off for a few seconds after using the unit for a while. If no fan is heard the unit could be overheating, they are too quiet to hear on the road.
