Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

I have just put a deposit on a Black 02 plate Octavia vRS. All being well I should be driving it away on Friday :D:D I can't wait! :drive:

How long did you guys find it took to get used to the power of it? I am trading in my 1.25i 16V Fiesta for it - quite a big jump!

Hello and Welcome:D

i went from a Corrado VR6 so was a bit of a step down but the whole driving experience was completely different,2.9 litre V6 to aq 1.8 Turbo took a bit of getting used to i have to say.

you'll love and you'll be saying to yourself how comes i made do with less power for so long!!!

you'll be wanting more once you've got used to it,enjoy, hope to see you at a meet or 2 this year.

Welcome  Took about 5 mins to get used to the power, quite an easy car to drive fast, anyway had it re-mapped after 2000miles, now that is still taking some getting used to :D:D:D

Yes you will soon get used to the power, i also had mine remapped, i have a boost controller and turn it down now and then so that when i have it on full it really does go!! You'll love it, just with some small mods you can make a big differance. I can highly recommend an uprated rear anti roll bar :D

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum.

Welcome mate! Got used to it within a couple of days... got it re-mapped about 1 week after I got it! Constant smile on my face whilst driving, even now :D

Welcome to the forum...

The vRS is very smooth and you may not realise just how fast you are going. Take it easily for the first few days and have fun

All being well I should be driving it away on Friday :D:D I can't wait! :drive:

Nerr nerr ne nerr nerr (sp?)

Tee hee - I get mine sooner

Tomorrow, tomorrow I love you tomorrow......

Roll on tomorrow (and then Friday!!)

Enjoy!! :D:D:D

Hi my mate tony who has an evo 8 borrows my octy rs whenever he can at work, and accuses it of being a performance car for a lazy bar steward, smooth, refined, and quick as 5*t*e of a well polished shovel

Behave in the 30's and enjoy it. you wont be dissapointed ;)

Cheers guys,

I am seriously looking forward to getting that car :D

When I took it for a test drive I was astounded at firstly the performance and secondly the build quality of the car - it is better than many cars of 2 or 3 times the price.

That car seems to have a Jekyll and Hyde type personality - its quite docile when required around town but when you put your foot down OMG!

Anyway, roll on Friday

Dave.

New to the whole forum thing, ordered my vRs in silver about a week back but not taking delivery unitl middle of march.... Owww the pain of waiting!

Yes yes.... good things come to those who wait.

Anyway nice to be part of the forums. Seems pleasant.
